Join us to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision which established the right of women to a safe and legal abortion at Occupy San Diego's Freedom Square (3rd Ave & B St, Downtown San Diego) Sunday Jan 22, 2012, from 1pm-3pm.
Unfortunately, since the histori.c Roe ruling, access to abortion has been steadily chipped away by the congress and state legislatures who cut funding and create restrictions for young women or certain procedures.

SAME (and other allied groups) is a signatory to an open letter calling for Bradley Manning to either receive an open, fair and speedy trial or to be released. Whistle-blowing on war crimes is not a crime!
Supporters will meet at the San Diego Civic Center AKA Occupy SD's Freedom Square (at 3rd ave and B street) at 3pm and march 6 blocks North to the 3rd Ave bridge over the I5 to place a banner for freeway traffic to see. We will then march back to Occupy San Diego to hold a rally and speak out.
On the 17th of December - his 24th birthday - Bradley Manning will have been incarcerated for 571 days.
