San Diego Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Join us on Tuesday November 20,2012 for the Annual Transgender day of Remembrance event. Candlelight Vigil starts from the LGBT Center 3909 Centre St, San Diego, 92103 at 6 pm.
 
Program at the Center at 7 pm. All are invited to participate and remember those we lost due to anti transgender violence.
 
Remember those we lost to violence and hatred. Let's work together to fight hate and intolerance.

One week after Trans-day of Remembrance, the San Diego Alliance for Marriage Equality(SAME) and Canvass for a Cause(CFAC) present "An Injury to One is An Injury to All: Trans Voices in the Occupy Movement" a teach-in at Occupy San Diego's "Freedom Square" (Civic Center Plaza,1200 Third Ave, San Diego, CA)on Trans-gender, gender-queer, inter sex, non-binary identified, gender-bending, gender identity (etc etc).

On April 18, 2011 a transgender woman was brutally beaten inside a McDonalds in Baltimore by two patrons during an attempt to use a female restroom. During the brutal hate crime beating McDonald's employees videotaped the assault with a cell phone; later posting the video on YouTube.
