SAME Supports Channel 10 News Boycott

WHERAS SAME unequivocally supports the cause of organized Labor, and the right of workers to unite to resist attacks by often exploitative and discriminatory employers

WHERAS 10 News has been known, in its effort to deny its workforce a fair contract, to bait and intimidate employees on the basis of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, (as well as race, gender and age)

WHERAS a local of the Communication Workers of America, NABET-CWA Local 54, is building a campaign to direct consumers away from businesses who advertise with 10 News.  They have also called upon the activist community to no longer issue press releases or grant interviews to 10 News

WHERAS SAME wants to be a leader in the community in winning support for this boycott and for the Labor movement as a whole
