Dr. Pat Washington is an award-winning teacher and prolific writer who has received widespread local, state, and national recognition for service and activism. She has successfully coordinated student participation in local and international community-based service learning projects, including many that involved participation in local and state campaigns for political office. Dr. Washington is also a member of the San Diego Democratic Club and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Democratic Club. She has served as a delegate to the State Democratic Convention since 2004; she alos served as a delegate to the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
