SAME Holiday Social/2011 Retrospective & Fund-Raiser - Dec 9th at the Bamboo Lounge!

The SAME holiday social will be held at the Bamboo Lounge (1475 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103) on Dec 9th at 7:30pm. It promises to be a really great time, so put it on your calendar!

This social will also serve to support two great causes:

1. We're raising money for the defense of the Equality 9. (If you don't know who we are yet, see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIqlPeyd1Og). Six of the Equality 9 are still facing charges and possible jail time for their peaceful protest on 08/19 last year. Our first day in court is March 28--save the date!

2. Half of the proceeds from the evening will also go toward paying the hospital bill for Canvass for a Cause member Michelle "Jersey" Deutsch, resulting from an assault by pepper spray by a San Diego Police Officer while also peacefully protesting on 10/14 this year at Occupy San Diego.
